TES has prepared all or portions of hundreds of environmental impact assessments.  These documents include compliance with the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR).  In accordance with federal regulations, TES has addressed the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Exhibit E in support of hydroelectric licensing.

SEQR documents prepared by TES range from environmental assessment forms, generic environmental impact statements, to draft and final environmental impact statements.  Staff members have also participated in the regulatory review process as expert witnesses at adjudicatory hearings.

The extent of staff involvement in environmental projects varies depending upon the technical nature of the project and substantive issues.  TES often works at part of an interdisciplinary team and assumes responsibility for select portions of technical project documents.
